GSG U Offers February Educational Classes

GSG, a distributor of consumables and equipment for the apparel decorating, digital printing, commercial sign, and electrical sign industries, offers regular monthly classes as part of its GSG U program. The classes are at one of seven GSG regional offices.

Here’s a look at the schedule for February 2017:

Thursday, Feb. 2 and Friday, Feb. 3 Wrap Installation, Dallas
Get started in the profitable vehicle wrap market with this two-day class taught by Jeff Wagner, a 3M-certified installer. Experience hands-on training in auto graphics installation as well as window, wall, reflective and floor graphics in this two-day course. Class tuition includes lunch both days and a free wrap tool kit.

Tuesday, February 14 Embroidery Basics, Oklahoma City
This course ensures you get off on the right foot as you learn how to embroider. Learn what needle and stabilizer to use with the most popular fabrics and how to hoop garments for the best results. This class is packed with tips and techniques for thread selection, appliqués and even pricing.

Friday, February 17 Heat Transfer Materials, Oklahoma City
Learn everything you need to know about how to use heat transfer films. This course discusses the differences between materials, including which film to use with what type of garment and application instructions.

Thursday, February 23 Screen Print Basics, Dallas
This full-day course explains the art of screen printing from start to finish. Learn about selecting inks based on garment type, press setup, press breakdown and a range of other printing techniques. Taught by specialist Mark Suhadolnik, this class includes lunch and a starter sample kit.
