X-Rite Donates i1Pro 2 for Use in Upcoming SGIA Workshop

X-Rite Inc. (SGIA member since 2011), a global leader in color trends, science and technology, has generously donated the i1Pro 2 spectrophotometer to be used in the sold-out Color Management Boot Camp at SGIA Headquarters (Fairfax, Virginia). The X-Rite i1Pro 2 is the latest donation for the SGIA laboratory, joining donated equipment from Roland, Mutoh, Mimaki, HP and Epson (SGIA members since 1995, 1991, 1999, 1995 and 2006, respectively).

“Through our donation to SGIA, we are helping to educate a new generation of print and imaging professionals on the importance of color management and device calibration,” said Liz Quinlisk, Global Marketing Director, Photo & Video, X-Rite Pantone. “The i1Pro 2 plays an important role in ensuring that devices and systems are calibrated and profiled correctly to deliver accurate and consistent color. This means that the color in what is captured on a camera; seen on a monitor; viewed in proofs, prints and presses; or shared online aligns to meet customer expectations.”
Thanks to X-Rite, workshop attendees will get hands-on experience with professional-level devices as they learn color theory and principles, device calibration, color management procedures, the latest print standards and more.
