In Memoriam: James Elliott

James “Jim” Elliott, a former Screen Printing staff member and longtime authority in the screen-printing industry, passed away unexpectedly on June 30, 2015, while on a motorcycle trip to the North Carolina coast. Jim, a resident of the Nashville area where he was raised, was 59. After working in production-management and quality-control capacities in the textile and printed-circuit industries, Jim served as associate editor of Screen Printing and SITE (Screen Imaging Technology for Electronics) magazines from 1984-1986. Later, he worked in technical, marketing, and sales management roles for a number of industry vendors including Precision Screen Machines, Colonial Printing Ink/Sun Chemical, Nazdar, Pleiger Plastics, and Better Life Technologies. He was also a frequent contributor to Screen Printing. Jim is survived by his brother, Burton, and sister-in-law, Annie.
