The Decorated Apparel Expo (DAX) is heading to Welch, Minnesota (April 1-2) and Tinley Park, Illinois (April 22-23) next month. Serving the screen-printing, embroidery, and digital garment decoration industries, the shows will feature exhibitors and educational events on everything from screen-printing basics to breaking into the signage industry to “How to Fail at Social Media.”

Attendees of both shows will have a variety of opportunities to hear from industry consultant Charlie Taublieb. His all-day workshop discusses production strategies for new and experienced screen printers alike, while his brief morning session touches specifically on ever-persistent screen-making problems. Each show also offers “An Evening with Charlie,” a hands-on workshop focusing on added-value opportunities for T-shirt printers.

At the Illinois show, Screen Printing magazine presents prepress expert Thomas Trimmingham’s free seminar, “Secrets to Making Great Index Separations,” for beginner and veteran screen printers and artists.

Darek Johnson of Signs of the Times magazine, sister publication to Screen Printing, will touch on untapped potential for screen printers in the signage and graphics markets in a free seminar at the Minnesota expo.
