International Centre for Manufacture by Printing to Open

The International Centre for Manufacture by Printing (icmPrint) will open soon at Swansea University, borne of a partnership between the Print Process Champions (www.printprocesschampions.com) and the Welsh Centre for Printing and Coating (www.wcpcswansea.com) at Swansea University’s College of Engineering. The center aims to create a comprehensive resource center for best practices, technical advice, training, and innovation development for all printing processes, including offset, flexo, gravure, screen, pad, inkjet, aerosol, and 3D, and their associated technologies.

The International Centre for Manufacture by Printing (icmPrint) will open soon at Swansea University, borne of a partnership between the Print Process Champions (www.printprocesschampions.com) and the Welsh Centre for Printing and Coating (www.wcpcswansea.com) at Swansea University’s College of Engineering. The center aims to create a comprehensive resource center for best practices, technical advice, training, and innovation development for all printing processes, including offset, flexo, gravure, screen, pad, inkjet, aerosol, and 3D, and their associated technologies. The icmPrint website, which is yet to be commissioned, will provide open access materials and host webinars.

Membership will include access to scientists, technicians, and specialists; an advice line; participation in new research and best practice projects; monthly webinars and quarterly workshops; networking events; WCPC Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition & Print Forum Wales; free downloads of guides, reports, and posters; newsletter updates; and more. Current best practice projects include “Optimized Paper Handling and Logistics” and “Lean and Green Sustainable Printing Plants.”
