Screen Printing magazine and its sister publication, Big Picture magazine, have welcomed Matt Danford as the new managing editor of both brands. Danford, a graduate of Ohio University’s E.W. Scripps School of Journalism, made his career as a storyteller of industrial technology for leading manufacturing trade publications. With more than 16 years’ experience covering business transformations driven by new equipment, new methods, and new ideas, Danford is ready and eager to champion a new industry.

“From digitalizing workflows to building the right kind of company culture, the challenges faced by PSPs are not unlike those encountered by the metal-cutting professionals I’m used to writing about,” Danford says. “I look forward to ‘learning the language’ of these businesses and serving up the same kind of high-quality, actionable insights that I’ve long provided to manufacturing professionals.”

“Matt brings strong writing, editing, and content creation skills to the position and is a tremendous addition to our editorial team. I am excited to see what new initiatives and perspectives he presents to our magazines, websites, future events, social media channels, and other brand platforms,” says Adrienne Palmer, editor-in-chief of Screen Printing and Big Picture magazines.
