Digital Art Solutions Presents Free Graphics Academy Master Class Series

(PRESS RELEASE) The latest addition to the Digital Art Solutions Graphics Academy is a new seven-part Master Class series that will cover design, sales and marketing in the most popular decorating processes including screen printing and heat transfers, embroidery and appliqué, digital direct to garment, rhinestones, print and cut, sublimation, vinyl cutting and laser engraving.

The classes begin on Monday, March 1 and will be held every Monday through April 12. Sessions are scheduled for 3 p.m. EST and will be archived for later viewing.

Classes are designed for beginners and experts and feature CorelDRAW as the primary graphics program, but the principles also apply to Adobe Illustrator and other vector graphics software. Content will include graphics preparation, design, and production tips for a specific process.

Mastering Graphics for Laser Engraving
Learn the basics of the art preparation and identify the tools to edit and output graphics for laser engraving and etching. Topics will cover setting up a workflow for laser system operation and manipulating graphics for laser production. You’ll also find out how to use vector graphics tools to produce laser graphics files including converting images to black and white and contour cutting.

Mastering Graphics for Screen Printing
This class will cover the basics of producing graphics for screen printing as well as screen-printed heat transfers. Learn best practices for preparing artwork and creating quality color separations.

Monday, March 15

Mastering Graphics for Print and Cut
Learn how to adapt the graphics for the print-and-cut process using devices such as the Roland VersaCamm and vinyl cutters equipped with optical registration systems for cutting printed graphics.

Topics will include how to color correct graphics to get perfect color matching; how to set up a print-and-cut contour line around a vector graphic or bitmap; and how to streamline the workflow between the cutter and printer.

Mastering Graphics For Sublimation, DTG, and Digital Transfers
DTG printing, sublimation, and white toner laser transfers each have unique design and production challenges. This class will outline practical strategies for getting the best possible results from any of these.

Mastering Graphics for Embroidery and Appliqué
In this class, participants will learn how to convert vector graphics and bitmaps to production-ready sew files without digitizing. Topics include how to adapt vector graphics for embroidery and quickly get concepts in front of your clients. You’ll also learn how to create high-profit appliqué apparel using stock artwork and fonts and how to avoid common pitfalls.

Mastering Graphics for Vinyl Cutting and Heat Applied Transfers
This class focuses on design and production techniques for vinyl graphics and decals. Learn how to prepare graphics for output as well as working with materials such as glitter vinyl, metallic foils, and sign vinyl.

Mastering Graphics for Rhinestone Multi-Decoration
Learn how to maximize revenue with high-profit multi-decoration apparel using powerful rhinestone designer software. You will learn how to convert vector artwork into custom patterns; manipulate keyboard fonts, and create realistic proofs of rhinestone patterns and glitter vinyl.
