Drupa Releases Second Annual Global Trends Report

Drupa (www.drupa.com) has released the initial findings from its second annual global trends report, a survey of 1100 international print providers and suppliers conducted in October 2014. The results suggested a general feeling of optimism among print professionals; 48 percent of PSPs and 51 percent of industry suppliers forecast improvement for their companies in response to the question “How do you see the outlook for the coming 12 months?”

The results suggested a general feeling of optimism among print professionals; 48 percent of PSPs and 51 percent of industry suppliers forecast improvement for their companies in response to the question “How do you see the outlook for the coming 12 months?”

Other figures collected from PSP respondents include:
• Thirty-nine percent reported an increase in sales, while 22 percent reported a drop;
• Forty-three percent reported falling margins, while 16 percent said their margins had increased. Twenty-nine percent of North American providers reported an increase, however;
• And 10 percent generated more than 25 percent of their 2014 sales in digital printing, up two percent from a nearly identical survey conducted in February 2014.
