ST Media Group International Acquired by SmartWork Media

SmartWork Media and ST Media Group International (ST Media) yesterday announced the sale of ST Media Group International and all related assets to SmartWork Media, a leading U.S. business-to-business content provider. 

The acquisition of the ST Media brands is a strategic initiative to integrate the intellectual property of both organizations to create a more dynamic media company that is well positioned to meet the evolving needs of marketers in each respective industry.

ST Media Group’s brands are a seamless fit into SWM’s operations,” says Matthijs Braakman, CEO of SmartWork Media. “For over 100 years, ST Media Group has positioned its brands as market-leading products. SWM is proud to take ownership and build on the solid foundation of each brand. Our combined expertise will accelerate the transformation of all ST Media’s brands to leading-edge, dynamic and responsive multimedia content platforms to better serve the marketers in each unique industry.”

ST Media Group is a family-owned global content provider of industry news and information across their family of brands. ST Media Group serves those in the signage and graphics, retail design, and package design industries through an array of digital and print media outlets, as well as industry events.

Murray Kasmenn, formerly President of ST Media Group, will report to Matthijs Braakman CEO, SmartWork Media, as Vice President, Group Brand Director. “We are delighted to join the SWM team. Our two firms have many synergies and share the same goal of serving our communities with superior content and events.”

SmartWork Media’s portfolio of brands will expand from INSTORE, INVISION and PETS+ to include all the ST Media brands and brand extensions which includes Big Picture, BXP: Packaging, Screen Printing, Signs of the Times, and VMSD. The total SWM portfolio will serve members of each market through multimedia platforms including digital and printed magazines, websites, newsletters, content marketing services, live and virtual events (EyeInnovate, Pets+ Summit, IRDC, BXP Live!), and other professional marketing solutions.
